Okay, so this weekend was awesome. Yesterday I went to London and to Camden Market, which was bigger and more intense than anything I could have pictured. There were so many people there, big masses of them, that I feared being pickpocketed or something, but that didn't happen, so it was cool. I looked at clothes and boots and coats and didn't buy anything, but I found an awesome drum store that had drums that anyone could play, and I picked one up and me and the owner jammed for a little while. It was a cool moment. In other news, I went to Cold Steel, which I had ordered a 3.2mm tongue barbell and some 7mm bamboo plugs from this past week. I needed the plugs tapered in because they are a bit too big, so I went by, and the people were pretty rude to me. They refused, something about how "if you order it from the internet you're supposed to be able to do it yourself, that's why it's cheaper" blah blah blah. So, crestfallen (but not really) I went in search of the World's End pub, where I was meeting a friend at 5. 5 came and went. 5:45 came, so I decided to bust the joint because he hadn't shown up yet. I find out today that the reason why he didn't make it is because his girlfriend accidentally broke his nose while he was tickling her and so he spent the whole day in the ER. Done laughing? I'm not :-).
Today I went with Smeg to Birmingham and had a good day out. It is fun for me to ride around on the wrong side of the car on the motorway and eat chicken and sweetcorn sandwiches and talk about cars and the countryside. I ended up getting to try on a corset too, which was really fun, and reduced my waist size by about 12 inches. It was truly amazing. I looked hot!
Now I'm back home and ready to rock on my next paper, which is due tuesday at 10am. I have started, though not much, on it. I still have a considerable amount to read, so I'd better get on it. Oh, and I need sleep!
