"I'll have the cake please"
The weekend is young, but the fun may be over, since I need to work on my paper. I was going to go to Brighton today, but the trains take forever, so I'd get to spend about an hour and a half there before turning around and coming back. Unless I wanted a train that took 7 hours. No thanks! So, looks like I'm staying in today. I didn't make it to lunch, so I'll need to go to the store and buy food. I need to quit doing that, it's a waste of money, but sometimes it is just too much hassle to walk all the way to Keble for crappy hall food. Especially this week, since I haven't been feeling well. I think I went to lunch in hall once this week, and dinner once.
Yesterday I went to London with some girls from the house, and we had a blast. Ate in Chinatown, then got last-minute tickets for The Full Monty. They got standing room only tickets, but I got the last single seat--in the box! I couldn't believe it. Me, sitting in the box, which is all fancy and seems to be reserved for dignitaries or something, and I only paid 12 pounds for it! The play was hilarious, I laughed until I hurt from it, and it was a very good night out. I just can't believe they get completely naked. I blushed. :)
Then we walked around and went to the cheezy tourist shops, which was fun. I bought some "Mind the Gap" boxers for my brother. He looked forever for them when we were in London last year). I got postcards and a pair of socks that say "The dog's bollocks" but instead of saying "dog's" it had a picture of one. Cute. I know, corny and touristy and in bad taste. But hey, I love it!
