A quick update

Let's see, I've had a busy past few days: Friday I went to London and found my brother's yellow tennis shoes, and purchased them. I also looked at quite a few shoes for myself, but didn't buy (see Nat, I don't *always* buy shoes :) ). It was rainy and disgusting, and pretty cold, so I was soaked and wishing to be indoors after awhile, and I eventually made it back to Oxford. Lots of the Tube stations were closed because of the Fireman's strike (I had to walk from Leicester Square down to Covent Garden, poor me). I also went to Tusk and met Nino and Dave, the two piercer guys there, and they were nice. I hung around and looked at their portfolios and dried off a little, and then decided to get my daith pierced. It was a good experience, and now I have a new piercing to love and nurture.

Yesterday I took the train(s) down to Brighton and met up with Clanky, and had a blast. We went shopping and I bought new earrings. She showed me the sea and the pavilion (which made me wish I had brought my camera!) and we got alot of time to sit in coffee shops and pubs and chat. It was a wonderful way to spend my day, and I'm really glad I went (and Clanky's a star). The way back was interesting, because I was really tired and slept through my first connection, so I had to go into London and catch the train out of Paddington station, which only went as far as Didcot parkway, then I had to get a bus to Oxford. It was a horrendous journey, and there was a man eating ham straight out of the package on one of my trains. There was also a group of about 5 extremely drunk guys playing guitar... more later
