Walking to work today was just a tad brisk--it's 26 degrees outside (f) and I could no longer feel my ears or knees after the 30 minute stroll. The sidwalk configuration around the coliseum (basketball arena here at UGA) is interesting; due to the sacred landscaping of the "student athlete academic center" the sidwalk abruptly ends on one side of the street, so the pedestrians have to cross over. The sidewalk on that side, however, ends roughly ten yards later, forcing you to cross the same street again. Or walk in the shrubs :). I will never understand our school's propensity for ill-planned sidwalks, roads, and bus routes.

In other news, I bought my mom a cookbook for her birthday, and made her a card. I just didn't know what else to get. Besides, I wouldn't mind "borrowing" this cookbook after she's had it awhile. he he he... and now the motivation behind my gift is revealed.
